SMF Multiforums Requirements
- Apache 1 or 2 (IIS server can also be used with dedicated ip)
- Linux O/S (Windows OS can be used as well, also it will require using dedicated ip and some other features will not work there)
- PHP 5.x+ (PHP4 is also supported but PHP5 is better tested)
- GD Library 2.x+
- mySQL 4.x or 5.x
- 1 database (recommended 2 or more databases)
- Ability to create (or have created for you) a top level domain (ie domain.com)
or subdomain (ie sub.domain.com) - SMF MF is not currently designed to run
in a subfolder and can run from root domain folder only.
- Ability to create (or have created for you) wildcard subdomains (ie *.yourdomain.com
or *.sub.domain.com) - this include wildcarded DNS and wildcarded Apache entries or dedicated ip
- ionCube support (either using included runtime files or via php.ini)
